FoundersOutlook is looking for founders who will talk honestly about what building actually takes. If that sounds like you, apply below.

Who the show is for

You are probably
a good fit if…

  • You are a founder, co-founder or owner actively running a business
  • You have shipped something real: customers, revenue or a working product
  • You can talk openly about the hard parts, not just the wins
  • You are happy for the conversation to be published as video and audio

What we will cover

Nothing is off limits unless you say so. A typical conversation moves through:

  • 01The origin story and what you were doing before
  • 02The moment things nearly fell apart
  • 03How you got your first customers
  • 04Pricing, hiring and the decisions you would redo
  • 05What you are building right now

You can flag any topics you would rather avoid on the prep form.

Guest FAQ

Questions,
answered.

Still unsure about something? Send us a note and we will get back to you.

The recorded conversation runs 30 to 45 minutes. Block 60 minutes for a virtual session or 75 minutes if you are coming into the studio, so there is time to settle in and do a sound check.

Nothing beyond the prep form, which asks for your bio, a headshot, your links and the three topics you would most like to cover. Come as you are. The best episodes are conversational rather than rehearsed.

A laptop or desktop, a stable internet connection and headphones if you have them. Find a quiet, reasonably well-lit room. We record through Riverside in your browser, so there is nothing to install.

Yes. In-person sessions are recorded in Edmonton, Alberta. You will get the full address, parking details and arrival instructions once you book.

We do not send full edits for approval, but if something comes up that you would rather not publish, tell us during or straight after the recording and it will be cut.

Every episode goes out on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, plus clips across social. You will receive all the links and promotional assets when it goes live.

Nothing. Appearing as a guest is free. Sponsorship is a separate conversation and never affects who gets booked.

You will still hear back. Timing and topic mix are the usual reasons, and plenty of guests are approved on a later round, so it is always worth applying again.
